嘉宾介绍：

Michael Darnell

(Email: michaeldarnell@btinternet.com)Michael Darnell教授于1968年毕业于英国剑桥大学，获电子工程博士学位。他曾作为高级科技官员和首席科学家就职于英国政府的科技部门，先后在英国York大学、Hull大学、Leeds大学并担任首席教授和研究所所长。Darnell教授是国际通信界知名科学家，IEE和IMA会士，英国Leeds大学终生名誉教授，也是西南交通大学顾问教授和Newcastle大学兼职教授。Michael Darnell教授出版了多部著作，在各类学术刊物和国际会议上发表研究论文350多篇。Darnell教授的研究领域包括无线通信系统设计与理论、扩频码设计、信号处理等。Michael Darnell教授的业余爱好包括水彩画、高尔夫球和步行。

Bahram Honary

Bahram Honary于1976年获得英国Kent大学获得博士学位，然后分别在York大学、Coventry Polytechnic、和Warwick大学工作，1992年成为Lancaster大学通信工程讲座教授并创立了通信系统系。Honary教授是IEEE英国信息论分会主席、IET会士、IMA会士。他的重要著作包括“Trellis Decoding of Block Codes: A Practical Approach”等11部和400多篇发表论文。近年来，他组织了多个国际会议，应邀作了多个特邀大会学术报告。从1988年以来，他共指导了35位博士研究生。
